Education: Studied Archaeology at the Department of Archaeology in Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of History (1992), completed his post-graduate course there

PhD: Ceramics of the Ryazan Region in 11th to 15th c. (2006).

Key research interests: Medieval Rus; cities in Medieval Rus; fortifications in Medieval Rus; ceramics, its chronology and pottery traditions in Medieval Rus; Russian colonization of the Middle Oka area

Other Professional Activities: Carries out historical and cultural expertise for the Government (since 2016)

Archaeological Field Excavations since 1981; an independent researcher (since 1989); with the Staroryazan Archaeological Expedition of the IA RAS (since 1996); Head of Staroryazan Archaeological Expedition of the IA RAS (since 2010)
