Scientific and organizational department

The department was established in 2020. Its main responsibilities include planning, providing scientific and methodological support, analyzing, and reporting the results of the IA RAS research and publishing activities, coordinating these with the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The department also coordinates the IA RAS's scientific and educational events, participates in their information support, and promotes the maintenance and expansion of the IA RAS's ties with other Russian and international scientific institutions.

An important area of ​​the department's work is the popularization of archaeology. Materials on the latest discoveries, publications, conferences, and other scientific events at the IA RAS are published on the official website and on social media. The press secretary also facilitates media relations and participates in organizing media events.
