Architectural Archaeology – 2026

From March 31 to April 1, 2026, the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences will hold the scientific conference "Architectural Archaeology–2026."
The conference will cover the following topics:
- results of new architectural and archaeological research and the interpretation of unearthed sites;
- new interpretations of previously excavated monuments;
- various methods for the archaeological study of architectural objects and their recording;
- historical and archival research in architectural archaeology;
- experience in exhibiting and museumifying studied objects;
- theoretical generalizations based on architectural and archaeological research;
- issues related to architectural archaeology disciplines: philology, art history, materials science, and others.
Articles based on the presentations will be published in the annual periodical "Architectural Archaeology."
The conference will be held in person. Presentations are limited to 20 minutes.
